		<description>The Profile Book is a community platform created for artists, by artists.

I am currently working with David Sinnet (Founder) and Nicola Manuel (Editor), as Profile's
Lead Designer. We came together with the sole purpose of helping artists and designers across various disciplines to connect with like-minded creatives, share work and promote their creative genius.
With over 200 submissions currently on The Profile Book's website, we are certainly moving in the
 right direction.

I created our first-ever publication as part of my Final Major Project. The publication consists of a number of up and coming artists and designers from around the world. As my passion lies within blogging and reviewing artwork, I have had the privilege to speak to everyone who has submitted work, which gave me an insight into their work ethic and inspirations. I have created a number of reviews which allows you to read my perspective on the new talent that Profile has to offer.

See theprofilebook.co.uk for more info.

		<description>This project was set by the International Society of Typographic Designer 2013.

It required me to design a submission that would investigate the sound recordings selected from the British Library Sounds Digital Collection.

My first recording was by Harry Pierce, a farmer from Kingham, Oxfordshire.

The second recording was from Reuben Annett, a farmer from Inkpen, Berkshire.

Although both had the same profession, the difference within the tone of voice between the two were clearly evident. I reflected this through the choice of type I introduced in the handbooks I created.

Click here to see the brief.

		<description>This was a group project set by my university, in my first year. The brief was to create a pin-hole camera out of any object that we could find.

We decided to push the boundaries a little, so we came up with the idea of using my old guitar.
This project was a lot of fun!

		<description>This project was for the RSA Student Design Awards 2012/13

The initial aim was to create an idea that would communicate to the people of Yorkshire about the importance of water, and how it should be viewed as a limited natural resource.

My designs below touch on the following areas related to Yorkshire Water, Waste Treatment, Returning Water, Distribution, Waste Water, Water Collection, Water Supply &#38; Water Treatment.

In my opinion, Yorkshire is a beautiful place which is renowned for two things. Great landscapes, and its obsession with tea.
I thought it would interesting to play on the tea idea, so once my designs were completed on computer, I digitally printed onto fabric to produce seven tea towels.

When it comes to design, I am strong believer that it should not only work well on a visual scale, but it should fulfil a purpose. By creating these tea towels, I am providing the people of Yorkshire with another alternative use towards my design.

&#60;img src="http://payload149.cargocollective.com/1/5/173585/5280227/TEA_TOWEL_DESIGN_1.jpg" width="640" height="415" width_o="640" height_o="415" src_o="http://payload149.cargocollective.com/1/5/173585/5280227/TEA_TOWEL_DESIGN_1_o.jpg" data-mid="30187504"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;&#60;img src="http://payload149.cargocollective.com/1/5/173585/5280227/TEA_TOWEL_DESIGN_3.jpg" width="640" height="415" width_o="640" height_o="415" src_o="http://payload149.cargocollective.com/1/5/173585/5280227/TEA_TOWEL_DESIGN_3_o.jpg" data-mid="30187515"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;

I also created a few handbooks that are incoherent with my digtally printed tea towels.
The handbooks explained in depth each topic that I covered.

Below is an example of one of the handbooks I created. Click here to see a selected few.

		<description>This project was set by the D&#38;AD Student Award 2012 - Make Your Mark.

The idea behind this project was to explore my unusual obsession for discarded items, and in particular my collection of bolts and pennies - odd obsession, I know.

&#60;img src="http://payload5.cargocollective.com/1/5/173585/2410454/Bolt_Image_1.0.jpg" width="670" height="455" width_o="670" height_o="455" src_o="http://payload5.cargocollective.com/1/5/173585/2410454/Bolt_Image_1.0_o.jpg" data-mid="22405725"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;&#60;img src="http://payload5.cargocollective.com/1/5/173585/2410454/pennies.jpg" width="670" height="455" width_o="2048" height_o="1391" src_o="http://payload5.cargocollective.com/1/5/173585/2410454/pennies_o.jpg" data-mid="13266822"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;&#60;img src="http://payload5.cargocollective.com/1/5/173585/2410454/bolt_screws.jpg" width="670" height="455" width_o="2048" height_o="1391" src_o="http://payload5.cargocollective.com/1/5/173585/2410454/bolt_screws_o.jpg" data-mid="13266809"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;

The use of QR Codes is something that we are bombarded with on an everyday basis, which in my opinion has given this fairly new mobile technology a bad light . What you may not know is that, there is a niche community online of creatives and designers who embrace QR codes, but from a different perspective. It is commonly known as, QR Art.

In oppose to the traditional black and white designs that many are used to seeing and scanning, QR Art breaks the design barrier, and provides the public with an alternative way to see and interact with these clever 2-d bar codes. Keeping this concept in mind, and my discarded collection, I decided to integrate the two. Not only does the project become more personal as it displays my hoarding behaviour, but it touches on my interest for modern technology.

The photographs below are a QR Code Installation that I worked on. Using an iPhone, you are able to scan my QR Code with a QR Reader, and it will take you directly to my website - go on, try it!

A special thanks to QRazystuff, who featured me on their page.
